Still here

Still, here. Still trying to figure out what to do with only 1 hour of net time a day....

Zealot's gone.

My zealot found someboy, and it wasn't me. And you know what? I was relieved. Effin relieved. I didn't have to worry about him any more, I didn't have to drop things to go see him anymore, I didn't have to listen to him bitch about RF anymore...Of course, it was RF's ex that he found (under his nose, btw) just like Borgy.

I went a little too far with the zealot, and the lil bastard still didn't kiss me. I swore that there was only two things I would have done if I had ended up pregnant, Either leave the Island, or go live with L&R. It didn't, I wasn't, and I'm still on my own...

ugh point 2-four

I got a little carried away this last year. I have spent little to no time whatsoever on mySpace, I have no interest in it. I consider it stalker haven. So how I found myself on Facebook, and even Twitter, I have no Idea.

I miss my Stereofunk bunch. But ever since Muti's marriage went south, and Preacher got way dark...and Bridey was let back on to the forums at Fark, the friends all dispersed. Granted, Muti's set-up of Sterofunk was a little confusing at first, but twitter's got him beat.
I have a couple of friends on Elftown that I keep in contact with, and I'm trying to see if the other one will go to facebook. I also met a couple of fun individuals on Fb, one being another Obama voting liberal, but I won't hold it against him. What worries me about him is that he has the same vocation as Preacher, and well, Preacher got WAY to depressed at the end. I miss GtDawg and Endymion, too. Endy and I really must meet sometime. Especially, if he ever names his kid Muad Dib. lol

mandible

I don't know how I feel about the lil zealot. I can gush about how I love my friends but when it comes to him, I'm mum.

Or am I?

I do love him, but I love him in the way I love R., L., and the gang. I'm not "In love". Obsessed a little, but that's par. when I decided to love Toby, I knew in my heart it would end because you can't form a meaningful relationship if the guy starts spouting his love for you within 24 hours. It's just an excuse to try and get laid.

The li'l zealot has learned his lesson. Sorta. he won't kiss anybody unless he means it (wandering hands don't seem to be a big problem for him tho')
which sucks in the way that his hands are *ahem* wandering and all I see if I look up is a cat's grin on his face. And he won't admit any feelings either past getting onto God's second choice.

What utter bullshit. God gave him an option. Borgy broke it off. the girl herself knew it was wrong to be with him, but he was so completely obsesssed with her that he thinks he screwed up God's choice.
And the girl's not known for being a bright one either.

And I aint' a second choice.

I'm not going to be ANY choice if we can't cool the wandering hands.

Eeep!

gagh!

K. rolled his four wheeler ontop of himself on Saturday, and popped his leg out of place. The guys popped it back in for him, and he rode home. A hurting unit, but he rode home nonetheless. Now I just heard he flew up to Anchorage yesterday because the x-ray shows a cracked pelvis. I had to call the li'l zealot to find out. :(.

I should've asked the li'l zealot how he was after tuesday morning. :)

Come to find out, K. had CRUSHED his hip. not cracked it. Yeowtch.

ah...okay

I'm kinda proud of myself. Tuesday, I made it through the day on only 45 min. of sleep. I didn't feel tired in the least, until I got home from work. I turned my truck off in the driveway and woke up 30 minutes later.

Of course, waking up in someone else's bed after the first 45 minutes could be the reason I wasn't tired all day either....

Sounds bad, but it was a hell of a chess game. Fucker took out my queen, finally.

I'm sorta pissed

I'm a bit upset about this Google thing. I could care less, but come on! I'd rather go to MyOpera.com than deal with this monster. But...My friends know this space. If the Myopera thing is still open, I'll try to switch my stuff over there.

And I can't control my text size right now either...

weather is a pick up line

In Kansas, the most people would say about the weather at any given time was "It's friggin' HOT!" or "It's friggin' COLD!" depending on which season we were in. Nothing special ever happened, it was either hot or cold. Okay, maybe a few perfect days were here and there (in October), but I don't remember folks going "It's been____ long since it's been ____(insert extreme weather here)___." Hot or cold. Summer/Fall or Winter/Spring.

Out here in Alaska It's been raining on the snow for two days. You either learn to fall or you learn to skate (or in smart peoples' opinions, you get shoe spikes). Every where I go I hear "This is the worst winter in years". I remember shovelling three feet of snow off of the vans when I worked for Avis, four years ago. Last year, everybody said the same thing "This is the worst...yada yada yada." Do these people have that bad a time remembering?

I, for one, think this is freaking awesome. I got tired of 60 degree Decembers. We definitely could have gotten some good amateur igloo making out of this weather.

Aahh, winter on an island

1) It's cold.

2)There's still birds all over the place.Tthey keep flying into the windows while I'm eating breakfast.

3) the waves are REALLY high out at Mill Bay, and the Crabbers are starting to go out this weekend.

4) Inventory sucks. Not having an inventory sucks just about as bad.

5) It's also icy. I've made up for not falling last year by turning it into an art this week.

6) there's snow on the ice. It not only makes it slicker, it makes a fairly soft landing.

7) "Soft" landing is in the eye of the balance impaired. I can get up and keep walking, but my shoulders and ass feel like they were in a train wreck a few hours later.

8) I've taken up sliding down my driveway, it hurts less.

9) thank God nobody's fallen into the drink trying to save a truck this season. If the truck is sliding off the dock...let it go.

10) All in all, it's gorgeous. But all beauty in nature is dangerous.

Dukes of Hazzard

I'm watching this stupid movie again. I can't help it. I've always had a soft spot for Bo and Luke (Not vance and cody...the posers).
Although, having the guys from SuperTroopers make appearances is kinda like watching Buckaroo Banzai have a scene with Jay and Silent Bob. (If you haven't seen that web fic, it really is pretty good)

There's nothing that'll replace Jon Schneider as Bo Duke. SWS did pretty good, but Jon....*sigh*
Smallville's all the better because of him.

I love the movie's soundtrack, tho. I tried to copy it once, but it wouldn't let me. I prefer to make my own compilations. Making the disks hard to copy is a load of crap. I could have lived just fine without all the other crappy songs from Toby Keith If I could have gotten the two good ones he ever had without buying his CD. (it made nice sparks in the microwave, I'll give it that)

New blog?

The blogs are switching to Google accounts?

Eh, I might try that. It does go a little against my grain to change up to something I'd call a new version of MySpace. Is it me, or is Google turning into more of a monster than it has been?

whoa...so long?

Sorry it's been a while, I've been having computer hook up problems. Balanced with the lack of fundage, I haven't had the time to hook up with my Internet addiction for a while. And the screen I'm on right now is on "Safe Mode", therefore every thing I see is friggin' huge.
I DID go see the "Guardian". It stayed on the island for three weeks, fueled by the Coasties, I figure. There was one shot of the Commisary, and the coastline shots were Kodiak, everything else wasn't. Costner's house on the water? Not happening here, thank you. If you're on the water you're ON the water, in a boat. His house reminded me of a spot in the Chesapeake Bay area. We have cliffs and beaches...no personal docks except for the folks on the lakes where the float planes land. Other than that, it wasn't a bad movie.

My movie going friend moved to Fairbanks last month, and the other one has days off that don't coincide with mine. My uncle was asking me when I was starting to look for another job again. I forgot that I was looking for a while. I like the store, getting stuff for people, and finding stuff to sell them is kinda fun. *sigh* I still want to animate, or at least illustrate semi-professionally.
I got a kick last night when L. asked me if I'd like to slap some art on the coffeshop walls in May when he and Rob have their show in May. I've only got maybe two pics finished in the past 4 years...maybe this will light a fire under my butt to finish the other 3 I've been sitting on.
